In the third quarter of 2024, the top social networking apps on the iOS platform in Serbia demonstrated varied performance patterns, as revealed by data from Sensor Tower.

Threads from Instagram, Inc. showed a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads. Starting in July with approximately 3.9K downloads, the app experienced a surge mid-quarter, peaking at 7K in the week of August 19. The quarter concluded with downloads stabilizing around 6.4K. However, the app generated no revenue during this period.

Rakuten Viber Messenger exhibited a moderate revenue trend, with earnings ranging from $76 to $125 weekly. The app's downloads varied, beginning with 3.8K in July and reaching a high of 4.9K in the first week of September before settling at approximately 4K by the end of the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a consistent download pattern throughout the quarter. Starting at 3.5K weekly downloads, the app peaked at 4.3K in late July, with a slight dip in August. By the end of September, downloads were around 4.2K. Revenue for the app remained at zero throughout the quarter.

Facebook also demonstrated a steady revenue stream, ranging from $25 to $55 weekly. Downloads fluctuated slightly, beginning at 2.4K in early July and peaking at 2.8K in mid-August. The quarter ended with downloads around 2.6K.

Pengu – Raise Virtual AI Pets experienced a dramatic increase in downloads, starting from a modest 11 in early July to a remarkable 9K by mid-September. Revenue followed a similar upward trend, beginning at zero and reaching $45 in the week of September 16.
